Galakras – Warlord Zaela formed a close bond with Garrosh during events in the Twilight Highlands, and she and her Dragonmaw orcs have pledged loyalty to Garrosh's cause. Riding atop the fearsome Galakras, a direct descendant of the cataclysmic progenitor of all dragonkind, Zaela oversees the naval defense of Orgrimmar.

Basic Strategy:

Pretty similar to the proto drake boss in Ulduar, in that you first have to kill a bunch of adds, then you shoot down the dragon to kill it. But it's a bit more complicated than that.


Phase 1:
Kill the waves of adds, the kill priority is:
1) Shaman and their totems. They can be stunned and interrupted to prevent the casting of totems in the first place.
2) War Banners (very low health)
3) Bonecrushers - they will charge the friendly NPCs. They must be deathgripped or stunned to interrupt the ability that is cast after the charge.
4) Flagbearers and Grunts.

First miniboss, The Snake, and the first Tower.
-Stay out of the poison, and heal the AoE damage she casts when low on health.
-A demolisher will spawn while fighting her. Kill it after she is dead, then 4-5 people will go to the left (south) tower.
-A tank, healer, and 2-3 DPS will fight their way up the tower and kill the miniboss up top. Avoid his AoE knockback attack, or you'll fly off the tower.
-After the boss is dead, activate the rope down the side and jump off. One DPS stays to shoot proto-drakes out of the sky with the cannon.

Second miniboss, Thranok, and the second Tower.
-High tank damage, plus a chaining cleave. Do not stand near the tank.
-He will often pull random raid members to him, you must run away immediately (including tank) to avoid instant death.
-Kill the demolisher, then repeat Tower process again.
-When the miniboss up top is dead, one dps stays on that tower, while another runs to the south tower and its cannon. Both cannons must shoot the boss at the same time to bring him down, and this will take coordination over vent.

Phase 2:
Boss time.
-Stack up and heal through an AoE flame buffet type attack.
-Main mechanic is a big fiery ball. We will use the strategy shown in the FATBOSS video, so watch it.

Dead.

We're going to adjust our priority and assignments and such a bit, primarily to alleviate the fire arrow damage that's giving our healers such a headache. Nothing too complicated, though.

Downstairs:
Ranged DPS will focus the pairs of archers that come out, killing them ASAP.
Melee DPS will stay focused on the Shaman when they come out, being sure to interrupt.
Tanks will continue handling the bonecrushers, making sure they don't kill NPCs.

Upstairs:
We will focus down the 3 archers first, then kill the miniboss and the other adds. First tower we will continue sending all DPS. Second tower, we will only send 2-3 DPS.
