re: Computer Issue

When I get to the desktop of my computer, I'm not able to do anything. When I click on an application, I just get the equivalence of an hourglass symbol and sit there doing nothing. I have no idea what the issue is and I'm not even able to get to my task manager or shut off my computer through the start menu. I'm getting this through my shitty laptop that I'm pretty sure will overheat and shutdown after I submit this.
Help would be appreciated.

when booting up hit f5 and go into safemode. type in the run box msconfig and turn off all the start up stuff you don't need which is probably all of it. Also in the run box type services.msc and turn of any services that are suspicious. If you are using a mac put it in a fire.
You should also be able to run any antivirus and anti malware software you have installed while in safemode.

I like how he says 'put' it in a fire. Instead of throw, or chuck.
Gently place your mac into a fire. The warmth will enhance it's senses.

If you are using a mac put it in a fire.
No no no no, you need to hurl it out of a 10 story window into a fiery pit, wait for the fire to go out, smash the shit out of the remaining charred remains with a jackhammer and mail it to fright.

If you throw it in a fire there is the risk that the whosits and whatsits that are filled with toxic gas might come loose and exit the fire. For maximum lethality for those around it, place it in a fire gently.

How in the hell does the attention span of all of you change from helping me to hating on macs? i personally do not like them, but seriously, fuck you.
Thanks for the help Grimmer, my computer is working fine again. Maybe I should stop downloading pornography onto my computer.
Edit: The porn may or may not be related to relatives of those of which Obzen interacts or has personal relations with which may be related to the related relatives of said douche-nozzle.

I got a diagnosis yesterday that my computer had two corrupted sectors in the hard drive. Whee!
Anyway, hopefully it'll be fixed before the weekend because it took the place 3 days to get a diagnosis. Only reason they got it was because my dad called and yelled at them xD.

That's horrible...you can run a diagnostic to find that in like 20 minutes...you just start it and let it sit there.
Methinks the store was lazy.

Update on the diagnosis
There was physical damage on the hard drive which prevented it to work properly. I have to replace the hard drive and should get my computer back by Friday, granted that the people there work as slow as they have been.

Thats not even a joke. Any news story about this sort of stuff says the same thing. The techs are paid low wages so the first thing they do is look for videos and photos. You can guess what nature of media they are looking for.
