Neat project at work

So im a mechanic by trade and we focus on european imports but before we pigeon-holed into that particular set of cars we worked on anything so we developed a bit of a reputation locally as a good tuner shop. That being said there is getting ready to be a law passed in Indiana where you can street legalize these:



So this dude shows up a month or so ago and tells us he has one but it doesn't have enough power to deal with the hills around here..... so he told us basically heres 3 grand make it go. So we got to looking into it and figured out the engine is the same as an eagle talon/mitsubishi eclipse engine with a cylinder lopped off. So we fabbed some shit up and dude went from having 43 Horsepower to over 110 in a vehicle that weighs about 8 to 900 pounds 10:1 power ratio is scary.... even for me... the only casuality was mah hand

a friend of mine has 2 of those things. he puts GSXR engines in them

that was our first thought but we wanted to see what we could get out of the factory engine and we made almost a grand on the job in profit so we could deff afford a gsxr 1300 swap
