I'm playing a nightblade, and this is the direction I'm heading with him. Actually, I've started out using medium armor, but I think I'm going to start using heavy armor instead. It's much better for survivability, has relatively not-too-much-worse DPS gains (I think...), and allows me to only focus on blacksmithing instead of having to do clothing as well.

http://teso.mmorpg-life.com/eso-skill-calculator/nightblade/?calc=420.424.438.444.511.:667-2.669-2.670-2.671-2.683-2.686-2.701-2.703-2.704-2.705-2.709-2.756-2.758-2.759-2.813-2.814-2.815-2.816-2.817-2.818-2.:430.x454.456.468.552.558.::458.

The whole thing is focused around survivability through self healing as dual wield melee, with resto staff as my secondary weapon for those times when healing is needed. I'm going to have to start stacking some magicka in order to use all these damned spells, though. Why does it cost magicka to stab a guy? Oh well.

I'm still not all that certain about a whole lot of mechanics in this game... The question currently on my mind is, what exactly does melee attack power do? I'm sure, of course, that it increases the damage of regular and power melee attacks, but does it also increase the damage of melee special attacks? If so, then the DPS improvements in the heavy armor tree are fairly decent compared to the increased crit chance of the medium armor tree. I'm also not 100% certain about stealth mechanics, but I've got those quite a bit more figured out now than I did 22 hours ago.

Anyway, I'm enjoying the game so far, more-so than I did in beta (probably because I'm playing for keeps now). Post up some spec ideas for what you guys are doing with your characters.

Found a much better talent calculator:
http://www.esohead.com/calculator/skills#ccsz9c85qzz7zztyfm

And apparently the best place for addons (I'm going to have to mess around with addons a lot tonight to address some issues I have...):

Here's where I'm headed with my nightblade now after a few changes:

I rerolled a Templar in the hopes of someday actually being in a viable dungeon group, and here's the direction I'm heading as a tank at the moment:

This is more what I'm looking at in the long run for it, though I think I'll also level restoration staff and some light armor to give me the option to heal if necessary as well:

I'm posting these as much for my own reference later on as anything else...

Here's where I will head with my mage:

I've calculated out the maximum number of skill points you can get, assuming you're a completionist, and it's somewhere over 200...

49 or so for leveling, if you don't get points for veteran ranks. Over 100 for finding ALL the skyshards in the game. 10 or so from the main story line, 20 or so from dungeons, and at the very least another 20 from various zone-story quests and guild quests (certainly much more than that).

With that in mind, I've redone my specs for my other characters above a little bit, and also here's the spec I'd like to do on my dragonknight, which I might create tonight.
