I recently started playing Dawngate. I enjoy it as much as I did LoL, but you're rewarded at the end of every game with karma upvotes from other players, so (shocker) most people tend to not be a complete dick. If it sounds appealing, you can find me. You know what the username will be.

I do not play MOBAs, but I hear they are a lot of fun. My basic understanding of them is that you are more or less playing a Warcraft III game, but with only the hero characters, no buildings, and no control over the rest of your team (since they are other people). Pretty much?

Fright, if that's the easiest way to understand it yes.

Essentially it's a tower defense game. You defend your towers from other players. Minions are a source of currency/experience, and add a PvE aspect into a PvP game. You also have neutral monsters that offer rewards/buffs.

It's an enjoyable time sink to take part in casually, to me.

I am still questing. I basically took a 6 week break to sell my house, move, and stuff. I am just getting going again. They have added some new content, that I haven't had a chance to see yet.

Lots of cool things on the horizon, including the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood, plus a justice system which adds an element of evil and world pvp.

This week they added an armor dye system which is pretty solid.
