Nefarion Tonight

[GM Fright]

We will be killing Nefarion tonight.

I wanted to reiterate what I said last night: I will be designing the raid as best as I possibly can with the goal of killing that fucking dragon. There will be several on the wait-list tonight, and unfortunately I won't be able to take into account previous wait lists, previous missed raids, whatthefuckever. If I ask you to sit, it is only because of the need to bring in a specific type of raid makeup tonight.

It does not mean I hate you; it does not mean I think you suck. You are all members of AoR, and therefore you are all exceptional players. However, some classes, specs, internet connections, user interfaces, etc. simply perform better on some fights than on others. I've also got to keep in mind the distinct balance in melee vs ranged, in healers, and in interrupters. I will, if necessary, replace anyone in the raid that may be having connection or performance problems with someone on the wait-list. This is not a standard AoR practice, for a lot of reasons, but end-boss progression is not an everyday occurance.

I am not the least bit interested in your self-pity or righteous indignation if you're asked to sit out. I'm so terribly happy to have the opportunity to build a raid around the needs of a progression fight (instead of attempting progression with 24 people), that I'm likely to place you on my ignore list if your response is anything other than, "alright, I understand. I'll be online if you need me, because I really love having the opportunity to raid with this guild."
