D3 Launch

So for those of you waiting for D3 to go live, here are some prelaunch tips.

1. If you were in the beta, make sure you uninstall. There have been reports of this causing install problems.
2. As of 8.01 PST this morning, D3 can be installed.
3. Make sure you video drivers are up to date (Mine apparently were not)
4. Make sure you have a battle tag.. this can be created on your battle.net account.
5. Game doesn't become playable until after 12.01pst tonight, so SHOW UP FOR RAID! Happy

I had a few issues with the install this morning, but I think they was server side as I was trying to install the moment they went live.

I'll be there either tonight or tomorrow morning, probably tonight. My little battletag thingy is Frightening#1520, and my characters will likely be named Frightening. I've been waiting for this for 10 years!

Well I've been Blizzard-sober, and therefore almost entirely game-free, for 9 months, but I just popped three tylenol and a few eye-drops and Diablo 3 is almost done installing.

The dumb girlfriend told me that I should buy it when I was still debating whether or not I would. Now it's her fault when I lose my job and she breaks up with me and I die in a pile of my own poop.

Women. Pfft.

would you pay 35k for that? I have no idea how much d3 gold is worth.
Anyhoo, its up for that amount so I expect you to buy it fright before the auction ends.

Ha, I wouldn't pay 35k for anything right now, but you gotta aim high to start off with. What's the worst that could happen, you have to lower it to 25k in a couple days? The second bank tab costs 100,000 gold, so I don't think it's too much to ask for someone to pay 30k-ish for a legendary that they can use for all their characters, then re-sell it themselves when they are done with it.

Also, Tavie: 2-shot. Would have 1-shot him, but a little bad luck got in the way (that's my story, at least). The trick to killing things in every Diablo game is this: run away a lot, and potion potion potion.
