Basics:
Phase 1 - absorb purple shit, stay out of dangerous areas, heal a lot, tank swap as soon as stacks drop.
Phase 2 - Stack up, run out to be dispelled.
The healing shield will only absorb damage that is LESS THAN your maximum health. That means if you've got 600k health, and you get hit for 650k, it will completely ignore your shield and kill you.
Our Strategy:
-At the beginning of Phase 1, we're going to stand a bit closer to the boss to accommodate more AoE healing at the start, but it's important that we remain 5 yards apart at least, because he will do a seismic slam on someone fairly early.
---We might pull the boss in a certain way that will make the start easier
-When the purple spots come out, the ranged will all have an area of the room that they are responsible for.
-Raid ground markers will mark the areas that Arcing Smash hit, and which Breath of Y'Saarj will ruin at 50 and 100 energy.
-HEALERS: the default Blizzard raid frames will show you the level of everyone's shield. Use this, or find some other addon that will do it for you.
-In Phase 2, we'll stack up and run out to be dispelled. At the transition back into Phase 1, we will stay stacked and heal everyone up, and then we'll stay stacked a couple seconds longer to buff up shields. Just as at the pull, we'll need to spread out before too long or we'll risk everyone getting Seismic Slammed.
-We will likely Bloodlust during Phase 2, since there's less movement which means more DPS time. It will also extend out to the beginning of the next Phase 1, which will help buff up shields at the start of it.
-He will deal 25% more damage in Phase 2, so defensive and self healing cooldowns, especially by the tanks, should be used liberally.
